Privacy Policy
Effective date: 8 November 2026
1. Scope
This policy applies to Hermes-Dobby-Gmail, a private, single-user application that helps the Google account owner review and organize information from Gmail.
2. Google data accessed
The application requests the Gmail read-only OAuth scope. It may access email metadata, message bodies, thread contents, labels, sender and recipient information, dates, and attachment metadata when the account owner asks it to analyze the inbox.
3. How data is used
Google user data is used only to provide user-requested inbox functions such as search, reading, summarization, prioritization, classification, and suggestions for possible rules. The current integration cannot send, modify, archive, trash, or permanently delete email.
4. Storage and security
OAuth credentials are stored on the account owner's private server and are not placed in public documents. Email content is processed only as needed to perform requested tasks. Access is limited to the account owner and the private assistant runtime. Reasonable technical controls are used to restrict server and credential access.
5. Sharing, advertising, and sale
Google user data is not sold, rented, used for advertising, or shared with unrelated third parties. The application does not use Gmail data to train public or shared machine-learning models.
6. Retention and deletion
Data is retained only as required for the account owner's requested workflow and local operational records. The owner may revoke access at any time from the Google Account third-party access settings. Stored OAuth credentials can also be deleted from the private server on request.
7. Limited Use
Hermes-Dobby-Gmail's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
8. Changes
If the application's access or use of Google data changes, this policy will be updated before broader permissions are requested.
9. Contact
Privacy and access questions can be sent to the support email displayed on the Google OAuth consent screen.
